Strategic Assistance Program Overview
Phase 1: Cohort Training
In phase one, participating organizations are placed in a developmental cohort. These cohorts are formed based on activity, sport, or geography. Within these cohorts, organizational representatives complete a four-module training program to familiarize themselves with the basics of organizational capacity building and begin to assess the challenges their organizations may be experiencing.
Phase 2: Capacity Development
After completing the capacity training, organizations can, but are not obligated to, engage with Niagara University and their students in a capacity development consulting project. We offer services related to Operational Assessment, Strategy Development, Marketing Planning, Marketing Research, Change Management Plan, Succession Planning, Collaboration Supports, Program Evaluation, Leadership Development, Board Development, and Financial Assessment and Control.
Phase 3: Operational Support
Oftentimes, organizations have either completed a consulting project with us or are not in need of a full scale project. After completing our cohort training, the Strategic Assistance Program will continue to offer ongoing assistance to our member organizations relating to, but not limited to: strategic plan implementation and evaluation, program assessment, staffing plans, 501c establishment, and market evaluation.
